Akbar graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology in 2016 from the University of New South Wales. During his studies, Akbar found a strong passion for neurological rehabilitation and spent a year contributing to stroke research at St Vincent’s Hospital. With over 9 years of experience supporting clients with neurological, musculoskeletal, metabolic, and cardiac conditions, Akbar prides himself on providing best evidence-based practice whilst also implementing innovation and creative ways to help clients, especially neurological patients achieve their goals. Akbar has experience working with neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinson’s, TBI, ACI, spinal cord injuries, conversion disorder, Gillain-Barre syndrome. Akbar has built a strong reputation for his expertise in post-operative care (ACL reconstructions). Akbar is deeply committed to helping clients regain independence, enjoying exercise, getting results and improving their quality of life. Outside the clinic, Akbar enjoys playing soccer, surfing, and boxing. He’s a passionate supporter of AS Roma and finds balance in spending quality time with family and friends and trying to get to the beach.
